Proceeds raised from this auction will go toward program expansion and development in our efforts to promote social, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

Resounding Joy Volunteer (Joy Giver) training Part 1 will take place this Saturday May 7th at 9AM in Solana Beach. Gear up for an energetic day filled with making music.
Part 2 -observation- will take place the following Saturday May 14th from 9-12. Observe and interact with a group of enthusiastic older adults.

May is Mental Health Month!
Join Resounding Joy as we celebrate Mental Health Month! For the month of May, try out the NAMI sushi roll and support National Alliance for Mental Illness. Miso Harney Sushi will donate a portion of all proceeds of the new sushi roll to NAMI for their fundraising efforts.
Rebecca Vaudreuil, NMT-F, NICU-MT, MT-BC is the Keynote Speaker at the Oceanside location Wednesday, May 4th. 6pm.

What: The Renaissance: Exploration Through the Arts
When: Thursday, March 17, 10:30-11:30 am
Where: Mission Valley Library, 2123 Fenton Pkwy., San Diego, CA 92108
Why: To explore the arts through various music interventions as a way to enable family bonding.
Here is a description from the library’s website: “Come and participate in a free interactive musical program focusing on Exploring the Renaissance through Sound with Resounding Joy. Learn about music’s purpose during the Renaissance period, instruments used, and rhythm and meter. Participants will also enjoy movement and dance, learning songs and lullabies, and active music making. This program is appropriate for children and families, and no pre-registration is required. This program is for non-musicians and musicians alike.”

Check out this article about Rebecca Vaudreuil and her work with Wounded Warriors at the Naval Medical Center of San Diego! She has been using neurologic music therapy techniques to aid patients in their recovery. Here is a small segment from the article:
The Wounded Warriors share common experiences as service members to communicate as a group.
“[Group members] have a look of relief when they say something and someone else says they know what the other person is talking about,” said Rebecca Vaudreuil, a board-certified neurologic music therapist with Resounding Joy, Inc. “They feel more comfortable opening up in the future. It’s a support system.”
